Shetland Sheepdog kennel
The Whalswick affix was first registered with the Raad van Beheer (Kennel Club in the Netherlands) in 1998. Our love for shelties started in 1994, when we relocated in Valkenswaard. We bought our first Sheltie at the "van Rianshof" kennel.
Abigail van Rianshof is her name, we call her Abby. The picture shows Abby at the age of 14 weeks.
Within a short time after having brought Abby into our house, we became addicted with the "Sheltie-Virus", and we started to participate in Club-matches, shows, ...
And here is Abby again, this time as a show contender.
Then in 1995, we decided that Abby needed a friend. In december Cheyenne Merry Blue Sky van Rianshof was born.
This picture shows Sky when she was only a few days old.
This picture on the right shows Sky at the age of 5,5 weeks.
Here is a picture of Abby and Sky.
We started following courses, Like KK1 & KK2 and other practical courses with our dogs. After a while we also wanted to know who the ancestors of our dogs are, so we started searching and putting all the data in the computer, ..... and that has resulted in a new hobby, the "Web-site".
Now we are investigating to find out everything we can, about the ancestors as far back as possible and are also just as interested in pedegree´s from other Shelties as well.
In 2001 we fell in love with a lovely blue merle the minute she was born.
Her name is Pebbles and she turns out to be a promising little brag. She is also the foundation bitch of our 'kennel'.
On the right is a picture of Pebbles when she was 4 weeks old.
The picture on the left shows Pebbles playing with Sky. At the time of this picture, Pebbles is 14 weeks old.
Since December 2003 we breed some puppies from time to time.
Snoopy is a daughter of Pebbles, from our first litter.
She is co-owned & loved by Michel & Brigitte.
Hopefully we can expected the next generation of Whalswicks in 2006.
In March we had to say goodbye to our very special, old and ill special girl. We will allways mis this one of a kind special Abby
In may, Snoopy gave us 4 very beautiful girls.
And by the end of June we had to say goodbye to this very special lovely little girl.
Chica's little black sister, Kayleigh is here to stay. She stole Rob's heart!
